• Having recently graduated from JING with a level 4 diploma in Advanced clinical massage (2026), I am trained to work with a wide range of Muscolo-skeletal conditions and to treat chronic pain.

With a foundation from the BCMB in holistic massage (2020) I also offer treatments which are nourishing and work with the nervous system and aim to bring about balance in the body, mind and spirit as a whole.

I weave elements of Shiatsu, Thai massage, energy work and hands free massage into my treatments.

I am currently in my second year of study of Shiatsu. As a student I am always looking for case studies and offer low price shiatsu massage from my studio. Please get in touch if you’re interested.

    What do I not offer

Unfortunately I am not qualified to work with cancer patients who are suffering in the acute stage of their treatment.

I do not offer manual lymphatic drainage, TMJ work or dry needling.

I do not offer sensual massage for men and I do not tolerate any kind of harassment.

    Contraindications

Please be aware of, or if in doubt, contact me if you think you might fall into the category for any of the following, as I may not be able to treat you:

    First trimester of pregnancy

    DVT (Deep vein thrombosis)

Unstable Angina or a recent heart attack

    Infectious disease

    Fever/systemic infection

    Intoxication (drugs or alcohol)

  • Advanced Clinical Massage is a method developed by the JING school in Brighton, to treat chronic pain conditions.

It is a comprehensive method that includes working with hot and cold, fascial techniques, trigger point work, accupressure points and stretches.

A detailed case history with range of motion testing and observational notes will be taken the first session. We will come up with a treatment plan and aftercare advice will be given after each session. A six week course is recommended to see the best results, whilst it is not compulsory.

The massage will be given on a heated massage bed, which can be adjusted to suit your needs.

I like to work with client communication, encouraging open feedback to gauge the correct pressure for you and to identify any areas of particular tension for you. Whilst there is a certain amount I can feel through my hands, you can provide valuable information about what’s going on for you, as I work. I find the best results come from working together.

After the treatment it is normal to feel a little tired. Please give yourself time to rest if you can. Stay hydrated and avoid alcohol for the rest of the day if possible to allow the body to rest and repair.

You may also experience some muscle aches a day or two afterwards, this is also normal. Please contact me if you have any doubts or questions following treatment.

  • Holistic massage, as was taught to me at the BCMB in Bristol, takes into account the whole of the person, including the energetic and emotional being, as well as the physical.

I like to see massage as a deep exercise in listening and responding; an intuitive flow or dance between two beings. It uses the principle of 50/50 touch, where I am at once tuned into the sensations in my own body as well as what im sensing through my hands as I touch your body. The quality of touch is professional and caring and does not have the intention of fixing but rather to bring presence, awareness and curiosity to what is here, in the present moment.

I infuse elements of table top Thai, shiatsu, hands free massage and reiki/energetic work into my treatments, which include mobilisations (moving limbs and body parts around), working with forearms and elbows, sometimes getting on the table to deliver accupressure using my body, stretches and energetic holds.

  • Shiatsu is accupressure, given along specific energy channels (meridians) and points, on the body. It uses the same system as acupuncture but instead of needles, pressure is given through the hands. It was developed in Japan, taking Traditional Chinese medicine and developing it to include Five element theory and later on extensions of the meridians, by Masunaga.

Shiatsu is given fully clothed, on a futon, on the floor, with pillows and bolsters if needed. It is best if you come wearing loose comfortable clothing and remove any jewellery before the session.

For the purpose of my case studies, I will not be “treating” or diagnosing you in any way. The sessions are intended for practice, in the spirit of play and investigation. I may need to refer to my books from time to time and will kindly ask you for feedback during the session- to keep communication open for the reason of learning.

I ask for a £10-£20 donation for each 45 minute session.
